Umar Shafeeq Ibrahim is an Alumnus of Cardiff Business School, UK. With a Joint degree in Accounting and Economics, he has over a decade of business experience in areas of Finance, Investments, Real estate, Petroleum haulage and marketing.
He currently sits on the Board of six companies including Peachtree Properties which as Managing Director was instrumental in brokering a deal to construct 2,800 affordable housing units for less privileged Nigerians with partners; Brains & hammers And Mab Global resources. At the time it was the largest privately owned housing unit in the Country. Before that he served at an Engineering company during his NYSC called Topaz Engineering Services Nig. Ltd. He later became the founder and Managing director of US-AA ASSOCIATES LTD., a petroleum haulage company that has been in partnership with NNPC Retail for more than a decade conveying their products across the country.
He is the founder of HRC WEST AFRICA LTD., a company that is into conventional and alternative investments. He is also the founder of the US Centre for Economic Research, Policy Analysis and Development. (US-CERPAD) the centre is dedicated to promoting research in the field of economics. Through the centre he has replaced old dilapidated study blackboards with modern white marker boards for many schools both Islamic and western in Sokoto, has also sponsored 300 women to learn vocational skills like tailoring, bag and soap making etc.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria, an aspirant for house of representatives in Sokoto north and south federal constituency in Sokoto state and also a senior associate at M.B Kangiwa and Associates.
